Amid the spread of the Corona Virus (COVID-19), Google says: requests for biking directions on Google Maps have reached their highest level ever in the past month, and Google Maps is now adding the latest tracks, with the addition of comprehensive directions that include bicycle mooring services .

Google Maps added cycling directions in 2010 and is now available in nearly 30 countries around the world, with millions of users per day, with requests for biking directions increasing since February by 69 percent, and Google provided a summary of how to create Tracks, where she said:

“To give you the latest bike path, we use a mixture of machine learning and sophisticated algorithms and our understanding of real-world conditions, based on images and data from government authorities and community contributions. We also take into account various forms of bike lanes and nearby streets that may be less suitable for your bike, such as: tunnels, stairs, and poor roof conditions, so you can get the best cycling trail. You can also see how steep your path is, so you'll know whether or not you're on a relatively easy trip. ”

Google says: It is working on displaying (hundreds of thousands) of new bike lanes in the Google Maps application, and in recent months some cities have added and expanded bicycle lanes; To encourage cycling and accommodate more bikes, the company also encourages municipalities to download information directly using the (Geo Data Upload) tool.

Meanwhile, comprehensive directions, including motorcycle mooring information, will be available in 10 US cities in the coming weeks.
