A new update to the Epic Games' frequently asked questions page dedicated to its confrontation with Apple says: Apple is blocking Fortnite updates and new installations within the App Store, and said: It will end our ability to develop (Fortnite) for Apple devices, and as a result, the season will not be released. The update page added: "If you still want to play (Fortnite) on Android, you can access the latest version of the game from the (Epic Games) application for Android or through the Galaxy App Store from Samsung."

One of the factors that (Epic Games) had to confront was its ability to persuade the judge presiding over the lawsuit against Apple to issue a temporary restraining order prohibiting Apple from keeping (Fortnite) out of the App Store and blocking updates (Epic Games).

Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers ruled that Epic Games be granted the restrictive order, but only in relation to the work of the game engine (Unreal), which Apple was also targeting by threatening to terminate the developer account.

This means that Apple was not required to return (Fortnite) to the App Store, and (Epic Games) had to plan for the fact that it would not be able to release updates for the (iOS) or (macOS) versions of the game.

Apple said: (Epic Games) can simply cancel the update that implemented its in-app payment processing system to resume the distribution and update of (Fortnite) on (iOS) and (macOS).

But (Epic Games) refused, saying in a new post: Apple's proposal is a call to (Epic Games) to collude with Apple to maintain its monopoly, and that (Epic Games) will not participate in this scheme.
