The advantages of Google Maps and the new Waze app that were just launched

Google doesn't have one popular app for navigation but rather two apps - Google Maps and the Waze app - that are constantly being updated, as some of these updates bring major changes to apps, while others are limited in scope.

Both applications have received many new benefits this year, including new functions aimed at helping users during the ongoing new Corona virus pandemic, in addition to the important redesigns that the company launched for the Google Maps application in the past few months, as two new features have been added to the application Google Maps, while Waze has got an exciting cosmetic feature that could make travel more exciting.

A report a few weeks ago mentioned that Google was testing a feature that was already supported in Apple Maps, as some users found support for in-app traffic lights, as this feature could be useful when navigating in a new area, and the feature is now being rolled out widely, according to reports  CNN, adding this feature helps people stay informed of the best methods, according to a Google spokesperson.

New traffic light icons will appear in maps at intersections across the United States currently, and the company also said that the feature has been available in Japan for years, and as expected, traffic lights will begin to appear on both versions of the app for Android and iOS.

Google Maps Product Manager Vishal Dutta said: “We are excited to work with Passport to help drivers in Austin pay for parking quickly and easily from the Maps app. Google Pay and Google Maps have also been able to integrate the Passport program seamlessly. Help us bring this feature to life. ”

The support document explains how the feature works and what you need to do to pay for parking from within the app, and Waze has announced similar partnerships for parking and gas stations in recent weeks.

Separately, Google introduced a new payment feature for parking within Google Maps, but it will not be widely available, as this feature works in Austin, Texas, where drivers will be able to pay parking fees directly from the app.

Speaking of the Waze app, the Google subsidiary announced earlier this week that drivers will be able to choose any character for voice guidance in the app and choose between English, Spanish and Portuguese.
