Umidigi unveiled Umidigi A7S, the first smartphone with a built-in thermometer, which is a non-contact infrared thermometer that allows users to measure someone's temperature without physical contact.

The phone - which belongs to the low end category - comes with a shortcut button on the side of the phone that can be customized to launch the thermometer app, or it can be used to push to talk.


Umidigi A7S running on Android 10 Go operating system has a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor with a frequency of 1.25 GHz. It offers a random access memory RAM size of 2 GB, and internal storage memory of 32 GB, which is expandable by means of external microSD memory cards.

The phone supports 4G networks only, and supports Bluetooth 4.0 technology, but does not support NFC technology. As for the phone screen, it is a 6.53-inch LCD with 720p+ resolution. The front camera comes with 8 megapixels, and there is no fingerprint sensor.


Umidigi A7S comes with three rear cameras, main one is 13 megapixels with an f/1.8 lens slot, the second with 8 megapixels for ultra-wide photography at an angle of 120 degrees, and the third with 2 megapixels for depth photography.

Umidigi A7S phone contains a 4,150 mAh battery, which is charged via the USB-C port of only 5 watts. There is a port for traditional earphones. The body of the phone, made of polycarbonate, comes in three colors: gray, blue, and green.

It is reported that the phone is available for initial order at $ 70, as of September 21. But after the initial order expires, the phone will return to its original price of $ 100. It can be ordered from the Chinese website AliExpress.
